Astrid stacking ring set - Peridot size i 1/2
    • I love a commission, and recently was asked to make a stone set stacking ring, with a couple of small balls of silver fused to the top, either side of the stone. I loved it so much I made one for myself, (shown with a couple of the beaded rings I make) and everyone loves it, so I've added them to my shop.
     
    This listing is for a 
    4mm smooth peridot, beaten band - size  i 1/5, plus a slim co-ordinating beaten sterling stacking ring
     
    The bands are made from certified eco silver 2mm wire - sold and recycled by my bullion dealer; the balls are made by me from the snips of silver left over from making earwires etc. Every ring will be slightly different, because I'll select the balls that I think suit the size of the gemstone best, unless you have special instructions. These aren't hallmarked, as they are under the required weight.
     
    Remember - this band is only 2mm wide, so you want to err on the side of snug, rather than loose. If you have a special stone you want, and it's not listed - message me - I might not have it, but I can see if I can order it for you.

    You can commission bespoke rings, with different stones - please contact me to tell me the stone / colour and size you would like, and I'll be able to advise if I have the stone in hand, or if I'll need to order it. Most stones vary in price depending on size, and also on the actual stone. Rubies and emeralds are usually more costly than garnet and peridot, for example.

    • Sterling Silver will eventually oxidise or tarnish. It's a natural process that can be slowed down by regular wear and by keeping unworn items away from the atmosphere. If you leave your jewellery out on display, this oxidisation will be faster.  You can polish up your items, with a soft cloth, some silver polish, or a buffing cloth such as Town Talk, which is readily available from any high street jewellers in the UK

      Fine silver is 99.9% silver, and because of this the tarnish rate is much, much slower. Again, a buff should do the job for polishing it back up. If I have patinated your silver already, be gentle when buffing!

      Each piece should stand up to regular wear, but , as with all jewellery, please remove it before washing, using chemicals or applying perfume etc

      Apply body lotion and perfume a few minutes before putting on your jewellery to help slow down tarnish

      The sterling silver used in these items was sold to me by my bullion dealer ass certified recycled.

      he gemstones I use have been sold to me by reputable dealers as untreated (unless stated specifically in the listing). They are a natural, organic creation from the earth and each one will be slightly different. You can see examples of this on my Facebook page.
