Star Trek inspired Klingon Mek'leth studs for those of us who want to feel empowered ! ***This exact pair ready for dispatch, but USUALLY MADE TO ORDER - please allow me a couple of working days to have yours ready to dispatch***
I hand saw these from 0.5mm sterling sheet*, which ensures that they are super lightweight. I considered smoothing off the points, but given it's KLINGON inspired, I thought having very pointy parts would be useful should you be attending a meeting where no one listens :-) (Best to keep these away from balloons and small children though)
Because I saw them individually there will be slight variations to each pair. I prefer these with a high polish, but if you would prefer me to patinate or apply a satin finish, just ask and I'll make you a pair.
They are 23mm long, 7mm wide and weigh about 0.5 gram each I've specifically designed these to extend above your piercing slightly, so the posts are soldered at approximately 10mm, meaning that they will drop approximately 15mm from your piercing
If you would like to mix and match a pair from this or my other listings (or indeed if you want to buy just one) that can be arranged :-) I've listed options to buy as a pair or individually - if opting for an individual I've assumed you would like to have the blade facing away from your face (as pictured on me) so please select for left or right accordingly.
This exact pair is available for dispatch. Each time I sell a pair of made to order earrings, I make a couple more, so I usually have one pair in stock, but please assume I haven't and allow me 2 days to make and post. Please also bear in mind that I make these individually; sawing them out by hand, so each pair will be unique and vary slightly.

Sterling Silver will eventually oxidise or tarnish. It's a natural process that can be slowed down by regular wear and by keeping unworn items away from the atmosphere. If you leave your jewellery out on display, this oxidisation will be faster. You can polish up your items, with a soft cloth, some silver polish, or a buffing cloth such as Town Talk, which is readily available from any high street jewellers in the UK
Fine silver is 99.9% silver, and because of this the tarnish rate is much, much slower. Again, a buff should do the job for polishing it back up. If I have patinated your silver already, be gentle when buffing!
Each piece should stand up to regular wear, but , as with all jewellery, please remove it before washing, using chemicals or applying perfume etc
Apply body lotion and perfume a few minutes before putting on your jewellery to help slow down tarnish
The sterling silver used in these items was sold to me by my bullion dealer ass certified recycled.
The gemstones I use have been sold to me by reputable dealers as untreated (unless stated specifically in the listing). They are a natural, organic creation from the earth and each one will be slightly different. You can see examples of this on my Facebook page.
I select the stones that I think go together best for each project, hence my comments that each item is individual.
