Ploughing Match Socks are graded for sizes 5, 7 and 9, written and charted for the lace and cables, and worked toe up and in the round.

I've called this pattern Ploughing Match because when I was a child, living in Mid Devon, the annual ploughing match was an extremely competitive event between the local villages (remember, we only had 3 TV channels til the mid 1980s, and reception was very patchy!)
The cables remind me of tractor tyres and the lace the furrows ;-)
