This listing is for an individually, handcrafted, solid sterling silver, fully adjustable #HookerRing with a word of your choice hand stamped into the non working end.
Use these to reduce cramp and aid with evening tension from the yarn ball to the work. Equally suitable for left or right hand use.
See my standard HookerRing listings for the story behind how and why I make these this way. I had no idea how much I was going to enjoy crocheting, nor how incredibly helpful I'd find one of these.
Choose the word* you'd like me to to stamp (I can fit about 13 letters, if you don't want any other patterning) and the design you'd like on the remaining band and the little yarn loop.
If you'd like to add a coordinating stitch keeper then do so
Remember that I'm stamping these individually, and so they will have a bit of a wibble to the word and every ring will be unique.
You can adjust the sizing by pinching the tops together, or squeezing them apart or of course, you can tell me the precise size you want yours to be, and I'll adjust it for you before I dispatch it (you'll still be able to tweak it)
There are 3 standard sizings to choose from
Standard = adjustable from UK D to Q, set at about UK G (USA 3.75)
Small = adjustable up to to a K, set at about UK D (USA 2)
Large = Adjustable up to Z+1, set at about UK R (USA 8.75)
You can see videos of them in use on my Instagram and Facebook pages, and also at LilyPondYarns (now https://www.kosykitchenfibres.com/ ) pages. (buy the gorgeous fine natural wool shown in my photo from them here https://www.kosykitchenfibres.com/)
I've found that wearing it on my middle finger, saves me having to tangle my little finger and stops the cramp I was getting with my crochet.
People have been kind enough to share photos of their hooker ring in use - you can see these if you type #HookerRing or #DGDInTheWild into Instagram. I'm trying to collate them all into the highlights on my profile. I'd love if you would share a photo of your #HookerRing in action too
It's really interesting how people wear them differently- on their leading hand, or not and turned in or out.
*Any word, curse words or names are fine, you won't be able to shock me :-)
I only have a standard English alphabet I haven't any accents or Cyrillic I'm afraid.
I'm nearly as bad at filming as crochet (!) but have managed to take a clip of me setting up and using my single loop ring to put in this listing.
You can choose your individual HookerRing here, or if you want to buy a hooker ring and a matching StitchKeeper, you can do so at a slightly discounted rate on the StitchKeeper listing

Personalised Hooker Ring. Prevent tension or cramp. Adjustable guide
Everything is made using sterling silver. Many pieces are unique and one of a kind items, some are ranges.
Bullion (ie raw precious metal) is expensive and increases in price regularly.
I've decided that rather than increase the price of all my old stock to reflect this, I will just update the new pieces to reflect the cost of the metal when I bought it. This is why you will find some spinner rings, for example at different price points.
All my hooker rings are adjustable, so unlike with a regular ring, you don't need to measure precisely - standard will fit most people with room for expansion, but I am very happy to either make one specially to fit, or adjust one I've got ready made to the right size; regardless of if you order small, standard or large ;-)
However, as most people wear rings at the palm, and the hooker ring between the first and second joint, the size of your 'regular' rings is most likely going to be too large.
So, if you know the size of the finger at the area you will be wearing it (eg for me it's between the first and second joint of my middle finger, which is a J, where as my wedding ring is an R) let me know and I'll make and set it to that size for you.
If you are unsure how to gauge the size, then to calculate that size, take a piece of paper, and tape it in a circle to your finger where you plan to wear the tension guide.
Remove it, cut it and then you can measure the length (in millimetres) which will give you the circumference of your finger at that point. I can then identify the ring size and set your hooker ring appropriately - usually I set it about 1/2 or a whole size smaller to allow you to do the final adjustment once you have the hang of it.
