Science fiction inspired Klingon Sword of Khaless earrings for those of us who want to feel empowered !
I hand saw these from 0.8mm sterling sheet*, which ensures that they are super lightweight. I considered smoothing off the points, but given it's KLINGON inspired, I thought having very pointy parts would be useful should you be attending a meeting where no one listens :-) (Best to keep these away from balloons and small children though)
Because I saw them individually there will be slight variations to each pair. I prefer these with a high polish, but if you would prefer me to patinate or apply a satin finish, just ask and I'll make your pair like that. I make these to order, so please allow a week to 10 days for me to do so.
They come in two sizes - large or small (take your pick at checkout)
Large are 45mm high and 12mm wide at the widest point and are also approximately 0.5mm thick, weighing 1.2 grams each
I've specifically designed these to extend above your piercing slightly, so the posts are soldered at approximately 12mm, meaning that they will drop approximately 33mm from your piercing
Small are 29mm x 8.5mm, weighing about 0.6g each stud, with the post soldered at 11mm, making them drop approximately 20mm from your piercing
If you would like to mix and match a pair from this or my other listings (or indeed if you want to buy just one) that can be arranged :-)
I've listed options to buy as a pair or individually - if opting for an individual I've assumed you would like to have the blade facing away from your face (as pictured on me) so please select for left or right accordingly.
This exact pair sold; Each time I sell a pair, I make a couple more, so I usually have one pair in stock, but please assume I haven't and allow me 2 days to make and post.
Please also bear in mind that I make these individually; sawing them out by hand, so each pair will be unique and vary slightly. The final photo is a collage of the most recent pair I made and dispatched.
These aren't hallmarked, as they are below the threshold of 7.78g that's the legal requirement for Assay here in the UK.

**I've been using Eco silver since 2016, but now all the silver elements are certified recycled by my bullion dealer - it's made from the waste and offcuts returned and reclaimed in the jewellery process, which means it's environmental impact is significantly lower than if mined afresh.
Thanks for looking! Live Long and Prosper \\//_
Science fiction inspired sterling silver Bat'leth earrings - Studs or Drops
Sterling Silver will eventually oxidise or tarnish. It's a natural process that can be slowed down by regular wear and by keeping unworn items away from the atmosphere. If you leave your jewellery out on display, this oxidisation will be faster. You can polish up your items, with a soft cloth, some silver polish, or a buffing cloth such as Town Talk, which is readily available from any high street jewellers in the UK
Fine silver is 99.9% silver, and because of this the tarnish rate is much, much slower. Again, a buff should do the job for polishing it back up. If I have patinated your silver already, be gentle when buffing!
Each piece should stand up to regular wear, but , as with all jewellery, please remove it before washing, using chemicals or applying perfume etc
Apply body lotion and perfume a few minutes before putting on your jewellery to help slow down tarnish
The sterling silver used in these items was sold to me by my bullion dealer ass certified recycled.
The gemstones I use have been sold to me by reputable dealers as untreated (unless stated specifically in the listing). They are a natural, organic creation from the earth and each one will be slightly different. You can see examples of this on my Facebook page.
I select the stones that I think go together best for each project, hence my comments that each item is individual.
